This face mask is easy to make at home and can give you that million dollar glow in a jiffy. This will soften your skin naturally, minus the impact of chemicals in your store-bought beauty treatments. It can be used twice a week to make the most of the carrot season!
To know about the benefits of this carrot face mask, we needed an expert’s intervention. Dr Nivedita Dadu, a renowned dermatologist, spoke to HealthShots about the many benefits of this face mask.
Here are some skincare benefits of a carrot face mask:
1. Brighten skin
Carrot for a face mask helps to get bright clear skin. Carrot contains beta carotene, Vitamin C, Vitamin K and dietary fiber. All these nutrients make your skin vibrant and remove all skin problems.
2. Maintains oil production
Carrot face mask gives you a glowing spotless skin. It rejuvenates your skin by removing dead cells. Vitamin A in carrots flush out excessive oil and keeps the skin fresh and free of toxins. It works great for oily skin and hydrates the skin and improves its complexion. It also keeps away bacteria that causes skin infections.
3. Moisturize dry skin
Potassium-rich carrots carve out dryness from the skin by penetrating the layers of our skin. This mask deeply moisturizes the skin and makes it glow.

Here’s how to prepare a carrot face mask:
Pressure cook two carrots until soft.
Mash the carrots and leave them to cool off.
Once they reach room temperature, add a teaspoon of honey to it.
Now, squeeze half a lemon into it.
Mix it all to combine and form a paste-like consistency.
How to use this face mask:
Clean your face using a wet cotton pad.
Apply a thin layer of this mashed carrot mix on your face.
Let it semi-dry. You can do your daily chores or enjoy watching TV.
Wet your face and remove the mask by rubbing off in circular motions.
Pat dry and apply a gel based moisturizer.
